Investigating the Utilization of a Newly-Built Spawning Ground by Pikes (2017-11-24)

The restoration of spawning habitats requires not only professional planning and implementation but also a monitoring to study their utilization by the target species. For this purpose, Profish has now constructed 3 new RFID antennas (of up to 19m in length) and one radiotelemetry antenna on behalf of the Fisheries Association of the Somme, France that will detect tagged pike at a new spawning site in the Somme Valley, thus providing information on its use.
