Pike Tagging Project at the Meuse River, Belgium (2017-11-02)

Today we finished our pike tagging project with the Fisheries Association of the Meuse River for the year 2017. 25 adult pike from ponds were tagged with radio transmitters and then released in the Meuse river to simulate a repopulation process. Since the beginning of the project in 2016, 100 fish have been tagged and released for a telemetry-based behavioral analysis of pikes in the Maas Valley.
